YESS Power’s Strong Contribution to the Western Balkans’ Largest Solar Storage Project
Under the investment of Mey Energy, YESS Power — in collaboration with China-based Cubenergy — is building a 60 MWh energy storage system in North Macedonia. At YESS Power, we are proud to announce our first major project in Europe, which is also the largest energy storage project under construction in Eastern Europe. This project, implemented in North Macedonia, is not only a technical achievement but also a milestone redefining the region’s energy future. Our project integrates a 60 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) into the Balkans’ largest private solar power plant, FEC Novaci.
Currently under construction, the facility will be commissioned at the end of November 2025. This investment not only increases energy efficiency but also directly contributes to Europe’s green transition goals.
FEC Novaci: The Region’s Largest Solar Power Plant
This project will operate in full integration with the
already operational FEC Novaci Solar Power Plant.
FEC Novaci facts:
· Completed in 2023
· Installed capacity: 55 MW
· Annual generation capacity: 85,000 MWh
(supplying energy to around 30,000 households)
· Built on a 57-hectare site
· North Macedonia’s first large-scale private solar power plant
Integrating the BESS system is critical to delivering this high production capacity to the grid more efficiently and reliably.
YESS Power: Responsible for System Integration
YESS Power is managing all engineering, procurement,
installation, and commissioning phases of the project.

With over 40 years of engineering and service experience in
the energy sector, Topkapı Endüstri is one of Turkey’s pioneers in the field.
This deep expertise lays a solid foundation for YESS Power’s first large-scale
step in Europe.
Cubenergy: Our Strong Technology Partner
The energy storage systems used in the project are supplied
by Cubenergy, one of China’s leading battery system integrators.
This collaboration is not limited to this project alone — it
also forms the basis for along-term technology partnership to work together in
the Turkish and Eastern European markets.
